When Hendrik (13) moves from Hanover to a village in Carinthia with his mother and brother Eddie (6), it's a cultural shock! Not only that people speak an incomprehensible dialect, but there seems to be something wrong with the house as well. Eddi begins to sleepwalk, Hendrik has scary nightmares and their mother is increasingly desperate. After some initial difficulties, Hendrik becomes friends with Nerd Fritz and forceful Ida. Together they investigate the secret of the eerie house. The two brothers Ralf and Roland, who used to live in the house, were poisoned and died as well as their mother, the alleged perpetrator. Eddi seems to receive messages from the hereafter and to be just like Hendrik a medium of the deceased brothers. The clues are gathering that the real killer is still at large! Ida, who likes Hendrik more and more, does not believe in his theory. But then they discover the true murderer and endanger themselves.
