Austrian cultural broadcaster Ö1 is one of the world’s most exceptional radio stations. Day by day, the Ö1 team covers current affairs, long-term developments and a most diverse range of artistic productions.Gehört Gesehen (Heard, Seen) opens a door for audiences to see and feel the fascination of radio broadcasting and Radio programming. Against the backdrop of new phenomena such as the “post-factual society” and the fact that entire population Groups retire into their own information bubbles, the documentary depicts the daily struggle for objective information and the value of public broadcasting to society. In this project, music is ever-present and developed mostly while shooting on air, which makes this film a sensual and touching experience.
