Tepeyac

"Juan Diego is an Aztec who, in 1531, had his heart divided between two opposing worlds: on the one hand, his indigenous roots and traditions represented by his warrior brother Ome; and on the other hand, his new Christian faith, represented by the Spanish missionaries. The solution comes when SHE appears to him on the hill of Tepeyac. It is “la Morenita”: The Mother of Gods that the Aztecs were waiting for, and that the Spaniards call the Mother of God. La Morenita is the Virgin of Guadalupe, who chooses Juan Diego to transmit a message of love that will bring peace. The problem is that the Bishop does not believe him, and a conspiracy plotted by sorceress Nahualli and General Nuño is going to endanger the fragile peace between Aztecs and Spaniards. When everything is about to collapse, a miracle will make Ome and the Spaniards believe that coexistence is possible, giving way to the union of the two peoples, their cultural and racial mixing, and the birth of the great Mexican nation."
